Zoom Webinar

Join TEXO and Stephanie Cook of Cokinos | Young for COVID-19 Top 10 (in two sessions)––a discussion on the impacts of COVID-19 on the construction industry and steps you can take to protect your company and your employees.

Session 2

6| Contract Issues- Force Majeure. Is COVID-19 covered under a force majeure clause in your contract? Given the novel nature of the disease, courts are scrambling to make these determinations and new law is coming down every day.

7| How can you defend and protect your company from liability while still maintaining operations? Are COVID-19 waivers enforceable? Once you implement proper protective measures and accommodations, document them. For some, drones are an effective way to                  document progress, but they can also be used to document safety and social distancing.

8| For some COVID-19 halted progress, for others labor and materials were delayed. Delay Notices & Claims. How does this affect your ongoing contracts? What about contracts you are about to execute?

9| A big question on many peoples’ minds––will the Legislature act? With the impacts from COVID-19 only growing, will the Texas Legislature enact legislation designed to limit claims related to COVID-19? How will the Legislature handle budget concerns related to COVID- 19?

10| We want to hear from YOU! Have questions you want answers to? Feel free to submit them to with the title TEXO Inquiry and we will try to incorporate them into the presentations on October 1st, and 8th.

Please contact TEXO at 972-647-0697 with any questions. Thank You!
